VS Code is a great editor and all-around development tool for lightweight changes and applications. It is quick to load and has intelligent and adaptive logic that will recommend plugins and add-on tooling based on what you’re developing. Install VS Code
As we develop using GitLab, we can use the online editor but if you prefer to use VS Cdoe here are a couple of nice plugins and tips. Using the GitLab Workflow help in context switching and allow you to be notified of changes without leaving your IDE.
Now you can close the repository, feel free to use any of these options for your IDE from the GitLab project page.
Once you have it cloned, you should now have visibility of your project from the GitLab plugin.
Make a change and see the pipeline updates. Note the following example has a few additional stages we will explore next.
